It is very important that my clients know they are receiving professional, qualified help. I spent some time deciding where I wanted to invest my time and money to provide me with the best possible education.

Thats why I am now a graduate of the prestigious Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Training & Behaviour and I have been granted official status as a VSA-Certified Dog Trainer, with Distinction (VSA-CDT). I completed this training under the ‘in person’ approach which means I attended training and worked in person with my mentor, Kay Attwood. Many courses I looked at purely provided on-line ‘training’. I firmly believe that hands on experience is no replacement for seeing and working with dogs and people.

During my 6 month course, I was fortunate enough to be mentored by Kay who was KCAI Trainer of the Year 2018. I learnt a huge amount from Kay during my mentorship and know that she is always there to support and learn from.

Continuing to expand and invest in my knowledge to benefit my clients, both dog and human, is extremely important to me. The more I learn, the more I realise what I don’t know! I spend time at conferences and workshops, given by the best in their field. Sarah Fisher, Chirag Patel, Victoria Stilwell and Kay Attwood of course, Sian Ryan, Dr Susan Friedman, Ken Ramirez, Craig Ogilvie and Sarah Heath. I have recently attended workshops with Amber Batson on the effects of exercise on dogs mental and physical health and Iain McDonald on the benefits of focused canine fitness exercises.

I specialise in separation anxiety behaviours, qualifying under the Julie Naismith SA Pro Trainer programme. SA is a challenging and upsetting area of behaviour in dogs and I look forward to sharing my certified status to start helping clients and their dogs.

I am dog first aid trained and fully insured.

I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you.
